More Detailed Scenarios

The playoff field is set so here is where things stand with three games to play.  I think I have every meaningful tiebreaker figured out, except a seeding one that may or may not come in to play.

1.  Chris  62-35:  Chris' huge output (sarcasm) on Tuesday means that Tim needs to win the remaining three games of this series to knock Chris out of the top spot.  So 1 win for Chris, and he's got the #1 overall seed.

2.  Bare  58-39:  Bare beat Bill 9 out of 12 games this year, so he has clinched the division.  Bare split his season series with Nick, who has the only team in that division that has a chance to tie Bare.  So..one more win for Bare, or one Nick loss, and he will be locked in to the #2 seed, and get the first round bye.  If Bare loses three straight and Nick wins three straight, it would come down to points, where as of right now Nick leads by 140 plus.

3.  Nick  55-42:  While Nick has the only chance to get the other first round bye, he still only holds a one game lead over Bug for the division crown.  It's basically a three game series to determine the division winner.  If Nick wins the series (at least 2 of the remaining three games), Nick wins the division.  If Bug wins the series, they would be tied and Bug would have won the season series over Nick, so Bug would then be the division winner.  Since Nick and Bug could possibly play in the first round series, what they're playing for mostly I guess is the prize money that comes with the division title.

4.  Tim  61-36:  As I said earlier, Tim needs to win three straight over Chris to win the division and earn the first round bye.  If not, this is where he will stay.

5.  Bill:  55-42:  Bill clinched a playoff berth yesterday, but he can't catch Bare, and he can't catch Tim or Chris, so he will either be the 5th seed, or the 6th seed, depending on what happens with the Bug-Nick series.  Bill holds the tiebreaker over Bug, so the only one I don't know is who would be seeded higher between Nick and Bill...I'll figure that out when (if) I need to.

6.  Bug  54-43:  The luckiest man in fantasy sports also clinched a playoff spot yesterday with my loss, but unlike Bill controls his own destiny to win the division and the money that comes along with that.  As I said, it's simple...he wins this virtual three game series to close out the season, and he's the 3 seed.  If he loses, he's  the 6 seed and will play Nick all over again.

I guess the only thing that we'll know for sure after Wednesday's game is if the Ram Division is still a race.
