PLAYOFF RACE UPDATE

****PLEASE NOTE: I made a mistake and declared Tom eliminated after Game 98. I was looking at Tom's tiebreakers with Bones without taking in to consideration his tiebreakers with Matt if Bones kept winning against Matt in this last series. Listed below is an unofficial look at where we are in the playoff race and the scenarios heading in to the final regular season game of the year. I could be wrong when it's all said done, due to the complicated tiebreakers and the number of teams involved. Obviously, everything will be sorted out after Tuesday's game.

1. Bare 56-43 Clinched Division. Clinched 1st round bye. Game 100 Win = #1 seed (Tiebreakers over Phil (won season series) and Bug (season series tied and over 200 point lead). Game 100 Loss = #2 Seed.

2. Phil 56-43 Clinched Playoff Berth. I didn't look up tiebreakers between Phil and Bug, because it doesn't matter. Game 100 win and Phil wins division and #2 seed if Bare wins...#1 seed if Bare wins.
--------

3. Bones 51-48 Clinched Playoff Spot. Game 100 win = Division Title. Game 100 loss = #6 seed (season series with Matt would be a 6-6 tie, and Matt would have the points advantage.

4. Bug 56-43 Clinched Playoff Berth. I didn't look up tiebreakers between Phil and Bug, because it doesn't matter. Game 100 win and Bug wins division and #2 seed if Bare wins...#1 seed if Bare wins.

5. Bill 53-46 Clinched Playoff Berth. Locked in as #5 seed.

6. Matt 50-49 (5113 points) Game 100 win and Matt wins division. Game 100 loss and then it gets a bit complicated. If Matt loses and Chris loses, Matt will make playoffs if Nate beats Tom in Game 100. If Matt loses and Chris loses Matt will NOT make playoffs if Tom beats Nate in Game 100. If Matt loses and Chris wins, there will be a three way tie between Matt, Chris, and Tom/Nate, and that will come down to points.

Tom 5124
Matt 5113
Nate 5077.5
Chris 5040

7. Tom 49-50 (5124 points) Like I said, I mistakenly declared Tom out, but he won game 99, so no harm done. First thing Tom needs is to win Game 100 vs. Nate. Assuming that happens, he also needs Bones to beat Matt. Provided those two things happen, if Chris loses, Tom is in the playoffs (Tom won season series vs. Matt). If Chris wins, there would be a three way tie between Tom, Matt, and Chris. Chris has tiebreaker over Tom. Tom has tiebreaker over Matt. Matt and Chris tied. So it would come down to points. and Tom would have to hold on to his 11 point lead over Matt.

8. Nate 49-50 (5077.5 points) Three things need to happen for me to have a chance. 1. Win over Tom. 2. Bones beats Matt. 3. Chris beats Bare. If Chris loses, I am out because Matt owns tiebreaker over me. But if Chris wins and since Matt tied Chris, Nate tied Chris, and no team had a clear advantage in a season series over the other, it would come down to points. So I not only need those things to happen, but I also need to outscore Matt by 36 points in Game 100.

9. Chris 49-50 (5040 points) Chris is technically still alive, although it's a tall order to make it. He needs to beat Bare in Game 100, have Matt lose to Bones. And then he probably wants Nate to beat Tom so the points differential is not impossible to overcome (down 84 to Tom, but only 37.5 to Nate). Still would need to outscore Matt by 73 points. But Bug outscored Tom by 69.5 just two games ago, so it is possible.

10. Andy 46-53 ELIMINATED
11. Tim 41-58 ELIMINATED
12. Nick 39-60 ELIMINATED
