SPLIT GAMES

There seems to be a lot of confusion with games that span over two days. It's really quite simple, the schedule lists the teams that will play the second day.

For instance, if a game says MON or TUE (LAD, NYY), then every team plays on Monday and the Yankees and Dodgers play Tuesday. This includes rainouts, which would go to backups for Monday. The reason being, the Brewers might get rained out on Monday, and play on Tuesday, but the Mets, A's, and Phillies got rained out on Monday and don't play a game on Tuesday. I can't be picking and choosing which games to look at.

I may not have helped the confusion by making Game 1 rainouts the next day. This was strictly because all teams played on one of those days, and because it was Opening Day, was easy to remedy. That won't happen again, and we will continue with the system.

This year has been weird with not all teams playing on days they have traditionally have. In the next month there is only one split game on Wed OR Thur 5/18 and 5/19. As the schedule reads ALL teams will count on Wednesday EXCEPT the Yankees and Marlins which count on Thursday...including rainouts.

Let me know if you have any questions, as I have seen lineup changes on second days of split games with players on teams that have already played the previous game...that's not how it works.
