2020 SEASON SCHEDULE

I will lay out the rest of the changes/amendments for this season (and ultimately next for a few issues) in another post. I'm doing the best I can to salvage at least a couple months of fantasy baseball fun. But here will be the format and schedule:


REGULAR SEASON

The regular season will start Thursday July 23 and continue through Thursday August 27. We will be playing everyday. You can field a full lineup everyday, or not, that will be up to you. But the players in your Yahoo lineup will be counted for points on every day. It will not be head to head. A running points total will be used to determine standings 1-12 in the regular season.

I imagine there will times when some are going to be upset when you may not have a pitching staff or a Catcher etc. on a particular day. The sort answer to this issue is...sorry. You can make moves to add players needed to fill out a lineup. You can trade to get a full lineup. But if you for whatever reason cannot on a particular day when not every team plays, please don't bitch and moan about it. This is what some of you guys wanted, so we will deal with the hand given to us for this abbreviated season.

PLAYOFFS

Unlike the abbreviated regular season, the playoffs WILL BE HEAD TO HEAD as we do normally. The top 8 teams will make the playoffs this year with an extra Wild Card round added. The top 2 seeds will receive byes until the Semi Final round as normal. Here will be the playoff schedule:

WILD CARD round (BEST OF 3: 5 vs. 8; 6 vs. 7)

GAME 1: Friday 8/28
GAME 2: Saturday 8/29
GAME 3: Sunday 8/30


DIVISIONAL ROUND (BEST OF 5: **RESEEDED** 3 vs. Lowest Seed; 4 vs. Remaining Seed)

GAME 1: Monday 8/31 (****Padres and Angels ONLY); TUESDAY 9/1
GAME 2: Wednesday 9/2
GAME 3: Friday 9/4
GAME 4: Saturday 9/5
GAME 5: Sunday 9/6


SEMI FINALS (BEST OF 7: **RESEEDED** 1 vs. Lowest Remaining Seed; 2 vs. Remaining Seed)

GAME 1: Tuesday 9/8
GAME 2: Thursday 9/10 (***Dodgers, Astros ONLY); FRIDAY 9/11
GAME 3: Saturday 9/12
GAME 4: Sunday 9/13
GAME 5: Tuesday 9/15
GAME 6: Wednesday 9/16
GAME 7: Friday 9/18


CAN O CORN SERIES (BEST OF 7)

GAME 1: Saturday 9/19
GAME 2: Sunday 9/20
